I am going away for a few days shortly and will not be taking my computer with me, so will not be posting here. However, just to let you know that my new book is in the proof stage and will be out next month. It is entitled of The Good Boys of Sicily, and this is the blurb, the book description, which, as in all books, is written by the author:
“Tonino Grassi is a good Sicilian boy who loves his mother, whom he has looked after while his father has been in prison. He is loyal to his boss, don Calogero, as well as being the attack dog of don Traiano in his various extortion rackets in Palermo. Everything seems to be going so well for him, particularly when he helps cure one of the longstanding weaknesses of the Santucci family. He enjoys the friendship of Beppe, the Santucci heir, another good Sicilian boy, but he has one flaw that he cannot admit to even himself, and which will have disastrous consequences. This is the sixth book in the Chemist of Catania series.”
It can, of course, be read on its own, but for maximum enjoyment it should be seen as the conclusion of the second trilogy in The Chemist of Catania series. In case you need a reminder, here is the complete list:
I The Chemist of Catania
II The Nymph of Syracuse
III The Feast of the Dead
IV The Castle of the Women
V The Gravedigger of Bronte
VI The Good Boys of Sicily
There will be another trilogy to come. Incidentally, this represents six books in five years, as The Chemist began life after my trip to Catania in January 2020, and was completed by that summer, though did not appear on Kindle until April 2023.
Many thanks for those of you who have been reading so far, and have been reading the books too, and who have let me into the sacred spaces of your In Boxes. And here, to finish off, is the cover photograph, take last year, in the park of La Favorita, Palermo. It is a view of Monte Pellegrino. Ah, the blue blue skies of a Sicilian winter!

What an interesting priest/author this gentleman is??!!
